Color selection is not always an easy task, especially when trying to match a color.

Prismatic Powders makes the color selection process as painless and easy as possible. We produce 360 degree S Panel videos of our colors as well as customer uploaded images in our gallery where visitors can view specific colors on a variety of items. Despite our best efforts to simplify the process, there are simply too many variables to factor in to completely replicate the experience of seeing the color in person, which is why we offer color swatches as a final measure before settling on a color.

Get a sample swatch in your hands for a visual inspection!

Our swatches are a low cost option for you to visually inspect the powder in person without having to go through the hassle of ordering and spraying a test panel. All of our swatches are made from an aluminum chip which means that the color will translate to your full scale projects (assuming it's applied to a similar aluminum base finish - darker substrates can impact the final finish). This is also a great way to build your own custom in-house ring sets for your customers to hold and inspect while they're deciding on the right color.

Lighting Matters! Take your samples outside

There are many things that influence how we perceive color, lighting intensity (shadow vs. full sun), light temperature, the angle of the light in relationship to metallic properties etc. What may look like a direct match from the computer screen may have a different appearance when compared in person.

Shown in the video above, we explain how lighting plays a key role in how a powder coating color will look once it's shot and fully cured. From warm indoor lights to natural bright sunlight, colors may drastically shift in hue and temperature.

To sum everything up

Using the product images from our website as a starting point, also view the 360 degree S Panel videos to experience the color under different lighting conditions. Browse our gallery to see what other customers have done with the same color. Finally, order a color a swatch to see the color in person.
