Does Kingsport Grey (PMB-5027) require a clear coat for exterior use to prevent oxidation of the metallic flakes ?

Flat Crystal Grey PMB-6527 looks like a good match in a Flat finish (0-6 Gloss Units) and Graphite Charcoal PMB-5458 is close in an eggshell finish (11-20 gloss units) for Kingsport Grey PMB-5027.

I’m looking for a powder to match the ford paint code J7, it seems from pictures that Kingsport Grey is extremely close. Would y’all have an idea if it is a match or which color would be a match?

Kingsport Grey is one possible match but so is our Speedway Grey PMB 4911. It just depends on the year of vehicle. Make sure you order both swatches before deciding.
