Answer:
When a silver is applied as a base coat you will want to consider the level of metallic flake and base your base coat oven time with this in mind. In most cases (except for a couple of finishes) base coats are brought to "gel-out" or "flow-out" which is when the powder changes from a powder state into a gelled or melted state. For metallic base coats you will want to add some time to this gel-out or flow-out depending on the level of metallic flake within that base coat.
